After a particularly turbulent day at the hospital, Blondie Bumstead gives birth to her newborn, Cookie. Meanwhile, satirical writer George Wickley arrives at Dagwood Bumstead's house, with no one available to serve him. Everyone is at a loss as to where to sleep and what to do with him, especially since he's been a voracious eater.
