She participated in the Miss Venezuela 1986 pageant and was chosen as a fourth finalist. She was also chosen as the third finalist in the Miss Latin America pageant in the same year. Catherine has been married to Osvaldo Sabatini since April 3, 1998, and they have two children. She was previously married to Fernando Carrillo.
