when cooperation with the big ones becomes a burden on the director

This title is a comedy film that centers around a failed person who undergoes massive change following an accident. A newly devised surgical procedure succeeds in transforming the previously unsuccessful individual into a hard-hitting lawyer. The screenplay that was the work of Nader Salah Al Deen was unsuccessful with regards to conveying the aforementioned theme and elaborating on it. Rather, the screenplay seems to have been limited to a few oft repeated mannerism of the “Al Limby” persona. Moreover, the work’s director, Ashraf Fayek seems to have been contented with far and near shots that display Mohamed Sa’ad’s acrobatic movements and facial expressions. For his performance in this production, Mohamed Sa’ad revives the character of “Al Limby” which first brought him success eight years ago. However, that persona seems to have been less than fitting in this latest effort due to the fact that it seems to have been forced into the context as a way of achieving quick success. Moreover, May Ezz Al Deen seems to have lost some of her status among fans for agreeing to assume a supporting role which was otherwise not specifically restricted to a woman. Additionally, Entissar and Maged Al Kadwany seem to have each performed roles which are below their usual calibers. Audiences have been split in their reception of the film. Proponents of the work have cited the persona of “Al Limby” as one which still retains the ability to generate laughter. Nonetheless, both cohorts agree that the film was lacking in substance. Critics, however, have been unanimous in denouncing the work. Mahmoud A’bd Al Shakour who writes for “Rosa Al Youssif” has sarcastically described the product as a sort of empty placebo. Meanwhile, Ussama El Shazly at elcinema.com has described the film as weak and worn out. Do’aa Sultan at “Al Distoor” has used more serious language and labeled the effort as “Sa’ad’s last fall” while the eminent movie critic Tareq El Shenawy has described the movie as Sa’ad’s worst film so far.
