Director Ahmed...Read more Abdallah, a member of the jury, said there is no enough attention paid to short films and documentaries in Egypt, and that films of youth don't get the best coverage or reach, thanking for paying attention to the festival. He added that he is still filming "Frash w ghata" starring Asser Yassin, produced by Film Clinic.Nora Kahil, director of public relations of the festival, explained the idea behind the festival and and how do they choose participating films and the basis on which it was built.Young director Hatem Tag of the film that won the crowd's choice award talked about the festival and his experience.

Tomorrow, the Fomula Mundi Film Festival will launch tomorrow at 2 pm in DAAD center in Zamalek. The official selection of films will be screened staring 2:30pm and the Awarding...Read more ceremony will start at 8pm.The Jury has announced 29 short films in competition in the categories of Animation and Documentaries and they came from 15 countries like Germany, Spain, South Africa and Czech Republic.The Jury consists of director Ahmed Abdalla, Yosra El Lozy, critic Joseph Fahim, Mexican director and script writer Alejandro Sesma, Prof. Beate Ehrmann and director Soraya Umewaka.

The organizing committee of the Formula Mundi Film Festival announced the opening ceremony on 12 June in DAAD Center in Zamalek, Cairo. This year's edition theme is "reflect,...Read more evolve, creat". The final list of the participating films will be announced on 8 June and the program will be revealed shortly. The Jury consists of director Ahmed Abdallah, Yosra El Lawzy, critic Joseph Fahim, Mexican director and screenwriter Alejandro Sesma, Prof. Beate Ehrmann and Japanese director Soraya Umewaka.The Formula Mundi Film Festival cares for documentaries, Short Feature Films and experimental shots where filmmakers from all over the world observe and analyze closely the changing environments we all live in whether economic, disasters or significant political changes that effect the dynamo of our lives.

Under the theme "reflect–evolve-create" the festival calls out for all documentaries, short films or experimental shots that analyze the economical changes, ecological disasters or significant political changes that affect the social structures.The jury includes actress Yosra Al Lawzy, director Ahmed Abdallah, Prof. Beate Ehrman and filmmaker Soraya Umewaka and there are more members to be announced shortly.
