It revolves around the rich and powerful "Barnabas" played by Depp, who lived in the 18th century who breaks the heart of an evil witch Angelique that cursed him by turning him into a vampire and burying him alive. Two centuries later, Barnabas returns to his village and tries to live with the new generation of his family.
