  • The Egyptian National Council for Human Rights has honored the casts of the television series “ Aad Tanazoly” (Count Down) and “ Segn Elnesa” (Women's Prison), for their excellence...Read more in depicting human rights topics among television productions of 2014. The ceremony took place yesterday on Cairo Opera House's small theater, and started with honoring first place winners “Aad Tanazoly”, including Amr Youssef, Kenda Aloush and Sayed Ragab, then Nelly Karim, Ahmed Dawood, Nesrin Amin, Salwa Othman, and screenwriter Mariam Na'oum from the cast and crew of “Segn Elnesa”. Late playrwight Fatheya El Assal was also honored, as the writer of the original play of the same name from which the series was adapted. Her daughter, actress Safaa El Toukhy was there to receive the honoring. Actress Karima Mokhtar received a special jury prize, along with conductor Selim Sahab. The council's jusry included director Ena'am Mohamed Ali, critics Tareq el Shinnawy, Maher Zohdy and Rami Andel Razeq, screenwriter Karam El Naggar and journalist Gamal Fahmy.
