The 29th edition of the Cairo International Film Festival

The 29th Cairo International Film Festival was held from November 29 to December 9, 2005. The festival’s events included a showcase titled "Cinema Against Terrorism," featuring eight films addressing this global phenomenon. Mustafa Akkad was also honored at this edition; he had been assassinated by terrorists in Amman.
