An Egyptian writer, born in Qena in 1912. He graduated from the Faculty of Law in 1935. He wrote the screenplay for dozens of Egyptian films, most notably: The Spirit and the Body, Moustafa Kamel and The Second Man. In addition to his cinematic work, Youssef Gohar wrote several collections of short stories and novels. He passed away in 2001, at the age of 89.
