A Moroccan director, screenwriter, and critic, born in Sidi Kacem in 1959. He received a BA in economics in the French city of Lille in 1978, then studied cinema. He worked as an assistant director in several films, including The Raped Childhood. He directed the films Sapphire and The Moroccan Dream, and also directed the series Batul Anklet. He taught screenplay at the Higher School of Audiovisual Direction in Casablanca.
