He was born in Sharkia Governorate, and did not complete his studies in Ain Shams Engineering. He joined the Ismail Yassin Troupe in 1953, then the Ramses Troupe in 1957. He worked in plays including Rabaa al-Adawiya, Bab al-Fotouh and Tomorrow in Next Summer. And in the series Zainab and the Throne and Raafat Al-Hagan.
