Nedal El Shafey is an Egyptian actor. He was born in Cairo in 1978, and graduated from the acting and directing department of the high Institute of Theatrical Arts in 1999. He participated in a workshop organized by theater director and writer Khaled Galal, which gave him the opportunity to land roles in small plays produced through state funds like Soldier 311 and Night Traveller. His first film role was in the crime thriller Alexandria Private. He then went on to star in the 2007 sitcom Tamer and Shawqeya as Shawqeya's brother. His other work includes co-starring in the television series Critical Moments, Stories We Live and Vertigo and the films The Island, Replacement and The Dealer.
