Metwali Elwan was an Egyptian actor. He was born in Sharqeya governorate, and loved acting at an early age. He debuted in the television series “Abnaa fi Alaasefa” (Sons in the Storm). Elwan worked with well renowned actors, and succeeded in becoming a well-recognized comedian, using his low-registered voice and gigantic build. His most famous roles were in the films “Gaa'ana Albayan Altaly” (Breaking News), “Okal”, “Booha” and “Saheb Sahbo” (His Friend's Friend).
