He is a director, film, and theater actor who obtained a diploma from the Institute of Dramatic Arts in 1952 and obtained a BA in directing from the University of California. He worked as an assistant director for many American companies. He was an actor at the beginning of his career and directed many films, including Cairo at Night, The Fire of Longing, and Ultimate Joy.
