He is an Egyptian director, editor, writer, and actor, born in Cairo in 1930. He initially worked as a sound engineer in Egyptian studios then worked in montage. He directed his first movie Three Stories in 1968. He also directed There's Something Wrong, and The Family of Mr. Shalash.
