An Egyptian actor, born on November 2, 1923. He was the elder brother of actors Shokry and Sami Sarhan. He graduated from the Institute of Acting in 1947 and was top of his class. He worked on several classic plays in the forties and fifties, the most famous of which are The Death of Cleopatra, and Antarah. He made his film debut in the 1953 movie Between Two Hearts. His other movies include Life's Wishes (1955) and My Darling's Anklet (1960). He was known for his villain roles, most notably in his final movie The Black Candles (1962). He died on April 21, 1962.
