An Egyptian writer, born in Cairo on June 8, 1949. She obtained a BA in Business Administration from the Faculty of Commerce, Ain Shams University in 1972 and a BA in Theater Criticism in 1976. She worked as a theater and film critic and analyzed several publications. In 1985, she focused on creative writing. She wrote 7 short story collections, 7 novels, and a play, and her works were translated into several languages. She became a member of the Jury of the First Arab Film Festival, Paris. She is known for Red Card (1994), and Nona the Erratic (1994).
