Helmy Rafla is an Egyptian director, screenwriter and producer. He worked as an assistant director for a number of directors since 1942. The Ministry of Education sent him on a mission to Paris and London in 1936 to study the art of make-up, to return and work as a make-up artist in the National Theater. He directed a number of films in Lebanon, including The Right Man, and Al Sheikh's Daughter.
