Gehad El Zoghby was born in Damascus on November 7, 1956. He graduated from the Higher Institute of Dramatic Arts and is a member of the Artists Syndicate since 1982. He participated as an actor in many television, theater and cinematic artworks, in addition to some radio series. El Zoghbi performed several plays including The Clown, and The Inspector. He starred in many radio series and is married to the artist, Doha Al-Debs, with whom he has two sons.
