He is an Egyptian actor, translator, and writer of Lebanese origin. He worked as a teacher in the French schools in Cairo, wrote plays, and translated them into French and Arabic. He is known for The Nightingale's Prayer, Between Heaven and Earth, and Soft Hands. He died in 1975 at the age of 78.
