He is an Egyptian singer, composer, and actor, and his real name is Amin Sayed Ahmed Mohamed. He was born in Cairo in 1916. He worked as an electrical engineer in Studio Misr, until a director heard him singing, so he used him in the advertisement he was filming. The late artist Mohamed Abdel Wahab adopted him artistically after he knew about his talent. He is best known for The Wives Factory, Love Is Forbidden, and The Gentle Sex. After suffering from asthma, he decided to retire from art in the mid-50s, after which he devoted himself to look after his small farm and horse stable that he owned. He passed away in 2009 at the age of 93.
