In 1946, he formed his own orchestra, which was one of the pillars on which the Radio Music Orchestra was founded, and he was appointed the latter's maestro in 1952. In the early seventies, he was active in the field of composing songs, in addition to working as a composer on radio and television productions. Among the films he scored are Abu Halmoos, and Anyone to Listen to Me?. Ali Farrag passed away on July 9, 2009.
