Hamdy Hafez is an Egyptian actor. He was born in the city of Tanta in 1948, and graduated from the High Institute of Theatrical Arts. He worked as a film actor to limited but consistent success until the late 1980s. His films from that period include: “Haza Uhebboh wa Haza Ureedoh” (I Love This and I Want That) and “Siqan fil Wahl” (Legs in the Mud). He also produced three films. Since the 1990s, Hafez turned his career to working in historical and religious television series.
