He is an Egyptian art director and costume designer. He was born in Bab El Shaariya. His father worked in Badia Masabni's theatre in the accessory profession. He was trained by director, Youssef Chahine after he met him in the movie, The Land. He's known for An Egyptian Story (1982), Snakes Passion (1988) and The Death Ward (1989)
