An Egyptian singer and actress, who was born as Gilan Abdel Hamid on July 22, 1926. She was discovered by director, Hussein Fawzy who presented her in the film The Ghost of Uncle Abdo (153). She also co-starred in It's Only One Life (1954), alongside Ismail Yassine.
