A Syrian director, cinematographer and writer, born on November 30, 1921. He established the first studio in Syria, the Army Studio. He also contributed to the establishment of Syrian Television and the Artists Syndicate. In Syria, he contributed to the establishment of the Arab Foundation. He wrote and directed the movie Wayfarer, and worked as a cinematographer on many movies, including Quiet City, A Woman Who Lives Alone, and Bridge of the Wicked. He died on February 16, 1990.
