He was born in Tunisia on April 4, 1934, and joined the Arab School of Acting in 1951. He graduated from the school's second class in March 1956. His notable plays include The Cave People, Caligula, and King Khamis. In addition to his participation in movies, including his starring role in the movie Sejnane, as well as his participation in foreign cinematic productions, the most famous of which is The Secret of the Tuareg. He managed the Qarra Theater Company in Sfax since its formation in 1966 and taught theater in Saudi Arabia. Among the most important works in which he participated are The Dove's Lost Necklace, and Sejnane, for which he received the Silver Award at the Carthage Film Festival. He passed away on November 1, 2010.
