Tunisian writer born on 6 August 1932 in southern Tunisia. He attended Ez-Zitouna University and received a degree in Philosophy in 1957. He then studied journalism and translation at the Faculty of Arts, Cairo University. He also obtained a PhD in Arabic grammar from the Sorbonne. He wrote plays, short stories, novels, films, and children's literature. He also translated several important works from French to Arabic. He wrote the film Conflict (1979).
