A Moroccan director, born as Mohamed Bin Saaed Helmy in 1948 in Meknes. He obtained a Bachelor of Arts in 1966, then traveled to Paris. He obtained a bachelor’s degree from the Higher Institute of Cinema, Theater and Television in Bologna. He directed many short films and documentaries, including Sofia and Lud Mila, Honorable Services, and Amila. He's known for Bird of Paradise (1981).
