Born Soumayya Ahmad Ebraheem in Cairo, is an Egyptian comedian who married the famous writer Youssef Auf. In 1950s, Ahmad participated in the famous radio comic program “Sa’a le albak”, and then joined a theatre troupe with the same name. She moved between various theatrical troupes like “Esmaeel Yasseen”, “Nagueeb al-Reehaany”, “Ameen al-Heneidy” and the state’s “Comedy Theatre”. “Al-tartour i.e. The hood”, “Taba’ salata i.e. Salad dish”, “Kalaam reggaala i.e. Men talk”, “No’tet al-da’f i.e. The weak point”, “Mahragaan al-harameyya i.e. Festival of thieves” and “Al-osayyareen i.e. Short people” are among Khaireyya’s participation with the comedian Muhammad Awad on stage. Khaireyya played many TV roles like “Ahlaam al-yakaza i.e. Daydreams”, “Al-hawees i.e. The lock”, “Aaber sabeel i.e. Passerby”, “Al-moshaahed i.e. The bystander”, “Al-‘aela i.e. The family”, “Sabaah al-kheir ya gaary al-azeez i.e. Good morning dear neighbor”, “Saaken ossaady i.e. Living next-door” and “Ayna kalby? i.e. Where is my heart?” Khaireyya Ahmad drew everybody’s attention all over her career; she is “Saa’a le albak” female star, the actor in “Akatheeb Hawwaa i.e. Eve’s lies” and the zeal sister in “Emra’a motallaka i.e. A divorced woman”.
