An Egyptian director and actor, whose beginnings were in theater, and then he turned to the cinema. He obtained a BA in Commerce in 1955, then a BA at the Higher Institute of Theatrical Arts in 1956. He worked in Zaki Tulaimat's theater, then turned to the cinema, where he participated in many films, whether as an actor or director, the most important of which are Too Young to Love, and Knocking on My Door. His TV series include Rifa'a Al-Tahtawi, and No, My Dear Daughter. He died on February 7, 1994 while filming the series Falling in Sabe' Well, following a severe heart attack.
