He worked at the beginning of his professional career as an engineer in military factories. He held various positions until he became an undersecretary at the Ministry of Culture. He played several distinct roles, including in the play The Blue Beef. He taught at the Academy of Arts as a visiting professor. He died at the age of 61 in Cairo.
