An Egyptian director, born in 1934. After graduating from high school, he worked as an assistant director for a number of directors starting in 1953, including Hassan El Emam, and Youssef Chahine. He also worked as an assistant director in a number of foreign and joint production films. He directed some films in Lebanon, including The Sinful Maryam (1968). He also directed the films Tough Love, and People Only Live Once.
