A Syrian actor and director, born in Lattakia on 5 September 1938. He graduated from the High Institute of Performing Arts in Cairo in 1962. He directed many stage productions, most notably The Brothers Karamazov (1964), The Stranger (1970), and A Night with Abi Khalil Al Qabbani (1975). He's also starred in several TV series such as A Knight from the South (1979), and Birds of Prey (1995).
