A Syrian actor, born in 1914, in Aleppo. He obtained his high school diploma in 1930. He joined the Teachers' School in Aleppo and studied there for two years. He was assigned to teach in the secondary schools of Aleppo in 1945. He was a member of the Eastern School Troupe, founder and head of the National Acting Troupe in 1937, and president of the Art Clubs Association in 1958. He participated as an actor in dozens of plays, including The Cave People, and Othello, in which he played the titular role. He participated as an actor in the movie Quiet City (1972). He died on December 16, 1989.
