An Egyptian writer, born on July 13, 1939 in Menoufia. He obtained a Bachelor of Arts in philosophy, then specialized in theater. Among his most famous works are the plays A Foul-Mouthed Parrot, The Gods Are Angry, and The Man of the Future. He has several poetry collections, such as Those Days, and Passion, Freedom, and Death. Bahig also worked in many Egyptian newspapers and has recently published a poetry collection entitled Corruption of Souls.
