A director and screenwriter. He joined Studio Misr in 1940, where he initially worked as an assistant director with a number of directors, including Hassan El-Imam, Fatin Abdel-Wahhab and Mahmoud Zulfikar, until he directed his own movie, The Night Prisoner, in 1963. He also produced a number of movies, including Struggle in the Nile, and The Green Threshold. Among his most prominent movies are Beware of Men, Mama, and The Return of the Most Dangerous Man in the World. He died in 1988.
