Algerian director, born in Tlemcen, Western Algeria on December 28, 1941. He studied film at Université de Paris before he worked as an assistant director on the French TV and alongside French film directors, such as Claude Lelouch. Afterwards, he worked as a television film director for the Algerian Corporation of Radio and Television. He directed several successful films, including Sheikh Bu Amama (1985).
