Ibrahim Youssry was an Egyptian actor. He was born in 1950. He studied commerce for two years at the University of Cairo, before dropping out and joining the High Institute of Theatrical Arts, where he graduated with a bachelor's degree in theatrical arts in 1975. He then joined the “Vanguards Theater”, where he started his professional career as an actor. Shortly afterwards, he started working in television series, rising to fame in the early 1980s through roles in series like Welcome to the Tenants and Honey and Tears. His film debut was The Innocent and the Gallows, and the critically acclaimed The Return of a Citizen, both films in 1986. From then onwards, he alternated between film, television and stage acting. He died on the 20th of April, 2015.
