Hatem Zu El-Fakar was an Egyptian actor. He was born in Menoufiya governorate in 1952, and dropped out of the military faculty to join the high Institute of Theatrical Arts to study acting and directing. He started his acting career on stage, and went on to gradually appear in films until he built moderate popularity in the late 1970's to the mid 1980's. He retired from acting after a car accident left him lacking some of his motor skills. He died in 2012.
