Moroccan writer, historian, and novelist born in 1919 in Fes. He received his degree in Arabic Literature from Cairo University. In 1948, he began working in journalism, editing the magazine "Message of Morocco". He worked at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Morocco in 1961, and was the appointed minister in 1983. He cofounded the Moroccan Writers Association and was president from 1968 to 1976. His works vary from novels to short stories to literary and political studies. He died in 2006.
