A well-known Egyptian writer, she assumed a number of positions, including editor-in-chief of Hawaa and Al-Musawar magazines. She headed the Board of Directors of Dar Al-Hilal in 1976, became a member of the Shura Council, and was elected more than once as a member of the Council of Journalists Syndicate. From her works is the series Woman and Three Faces (1992).
