She is a French actress, born in the French capital, Paris, on March 27, 1952. She is the daughter of French actor Daniel Gillin. She began her artistic career in the role of an extra before appearing in a major role in the movie Madly (1970). The movie The Last Tango in Paris sparked controversy in 1972. Schneider struggled with drug addiction in the 1970s, but then starred in mostly European films on small budgets. Schneider was nineteen years old when Italian director Bernardo Bertolucci chose her in 1972 to play Marlon Brando's girlfriend in his movie on February 3, 2011. Her last movie was Cliente (2008), and she died after suffering from cancer at the age of 58
