Hanafy Mohamed Marzouk, also known as Katkot Elamir, is the star of the popular song and the owner of the highest sales of cassette tapes. He was born in Rod El Farag neighborhood on September 1, 1945, and he appeared in the seventies as a star in nightclubs and hotels, then he was attracted by the Egyptian cinema to present films famous for his songs such as On Bulaq's Sugar, in the movie Bulaq's Sugar (1992). Among his most famous songs is Mercy, People. He acted in the movies Ghareeb Son of Ajeeb (1983), and The Emperor (1990). He is famous for his role in the movie El-Darb El-Ahmar (1985). He passed away on October 24, 2012.
