An Egyptian actress known for playing the role of the good mother, especially in her most iconic role as Amina alongside Yahya Shaheen in the films taken from the Naguib Mahfouz trilogy. Before her twenty-ninth year, she made her acting debut in 1939 with the films The Apple Seller, and Dananeer starring Umm Kulthum.
