A theater actress of Lebanese origin. She has worked in Egyptian theater and cinema since the 1930s. Her acting debut was in the 1939 movie Qais and Laila starring Badr Lama and Amina Rizk, but her fame came from her work with Najib Al-Rihani Theatrical Troupe, playing the roles of the Turkish aristocratic lady, and the roles of the Levantine woman.
