An Egyptian music composer, born on February 4, 1951, in Alexandria. He joined the Technical Institute of the Armed Forces but preferred to resign from military life so that he could pursue his passion. He was influenced by the Alexandrian folk music in his work. He composed the music for many films and plays such as Crystal (1993), Alexandria- New York (2004), The Dowry (1989), and Let's Dance (1992).
