An Iraqi actor and director, who presented a number of theatrical works and participated in dozens of skits and television series, as well as films. He held the position of Dean of the Institute of Arts in 1961. In 1971, he became Dean of the College of Fine Arts. In 1939, artist Hakki Al Shibli announced a call for actors for the Iraqi theater, so he applied and Al Shibli gave him the starring role in the play The Desert. He enrolled at the Faculty of Law and joined at that time the Jabr El Khawatir troupe formed by the artist Youssef Al Aani. He was appointed as a teacher at the Art Institute to teach acting. Then he had the opportunity to study in Rome, from which he returned in 1958 after obtaining his master's degree. He also co-founded the 14 July troupe in 1959. Among the films he presented: The River (1977), and The Horseman and the Mountain. As for the plays in which he acted, they include Kingdom of beggars. He passed away in 2013 at the age of 90.
