An Algerian actress and dancer, born in Oran in 1927. She traveled to France to work in the clubs of Paris, and was discovered at the time by the late singer Farid al-Atrash, and he tried to introduce her as a replacement for Samia Gamal after his dispute with her. She appeared with him in three films, the first of which was Don't Tell Anyone, then I Want to Get Married, and Melody of My Love. She later returned to Paris and danced in several French and British films.
