Faiza Abdel Gawad’s physical appearance has contributed to the fact that she was usually cast as a strong local woman. She also played roles as a gang member in films due to her fierce features. Faiza was discovered by actor Rushdy Abaza while shooting the film Tamr Henna, as Faiza was a resident of the area in which the film was being shot. Although she only appeared in a few films, the roles she played were notable, such as in This Is Cairo, and Bakiza and Zaghloul. She died in 2016.
