An Egyptian writer and director, born in 1920. He started his career in 1944 as an assistant to a number of directors, including Hassan Al-Imam, Kamal Al-Sheikh and El Sayed Bedair. He directed a number of documentaries, the first of which was Agricultural Organization (1966).
